The Spark Process

If you choose Spark aligners, we begin by taking a digital scan of your teeth. This provides us with a highly precise 3D model of your mouth. Using that model, we map out how your teeth will gradually move into their new positions.

That treatment plan is then sent to a lab where the Spark aligners are made. Each aligner is crafted from a clear, smooth material that’s both strong and comfortable. The lab makes a series of aligners, each one slightly different, so that every new tray nudges your teeth a little closer to their final position. Once they’re ready, we’ll provide you with a set of aligners to begin with, and you’ll change them out at home on a regular schedule.

Each set of aligners is custom-made for your mouth, and you’ll switch to a new set every one to two weeks. Each new set makes incremental adjustments, allowing your teeth to shift into the correct position gradually. You’ll wear them most of the day and night, taking them out only when you eat, drink anything besides water, or brush and floss. Since they’re nearly invisible, most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.

Throughout treatment, you’ll come in for checkups so we can track your progress and give you your next set of aligners. By the end of treatment, your teeth should be straighter, your bite should be improved, and your smile should be healthier.
